Harefield Garden (SGD Award Shortlister 2014!)

Shortlisted for a SOCIETY OF GARDEN DESIGNERS 2014 AWARD, this garden shows what can be achieved on a relatively small budet. The brief here was to 'rip it up and start again'! There needed to be raised beds, a new seating area, paths through the garden and the finished garden needed to be easy to maintain.  The creative use of (inexpensive) hard landscaping materials along with the inclusion of curves within the design has acheived a soft and fresh atmosphere in the garden.  The flower beds (not yet fully planted up or established) in time will help to create colour contrast through the seasons and provide yet more texture, privacey and hieght. The client liked her garden so much she installed new French Doors in her sitting room so she could admire her new space as much as possible!
